Naked Feet

My naked feet slipping into the sand
Toes wriggling like tiny crabs scurrying
To safety while the tide rocks relentlessly
And seagulls swoop down to feast.

Absolutely delightful Milt. I can feel the sand in my toes, hear the gulls and feel the sunshine. Congrats and high fives for your win! Here's to warm days of relaxation on the beach and blessings!

Thanks so much, Sam. It was a brief, but fine trip to sunny Mexico. I really appreciated your comments on my little poem.

Well lucky you ~ holiday in Mexico! Don't get a sunburn. Husband and I vacationed there some years ago with another couple. Great fun! Congratulations on your win! Your poem is fun to read.

Ann, thank you so much! I did have a week in Puerto Vallarta recently (the week of Thanksgiving). Then you know how wonderful and relaxing it can be.

Yes, Caren. I was so relaxed nearly all the time I was there. I felt like I was at home. It was a wonderful time for writing short verse.

Real ocean-side imagery here, my friend. Love those 'toes wriggling like tiny crabs scurrying.' Ole! ~ Senor Gershon

Gracias, mi amigo! Reality is always better than fantasy, methinks.
