Nakba

Blindness of the mind fertile ground for hate to expand when societies become blind no doubt atrocities will follow if a little Angel shall rise and speak up the devils will be ferocious shouts of "she is the evil witch" a child who harmed no one and the genocide marches on.

Dear... it's awful. The silence is deafening. This genocide is going on and we are all helpless. I write poetry about it and post on FB and Insta, but nothing will bring back those who have died. It's beyond sad. Thanks for bringing awareness.

A powerful symbol of the past. Tragically, innocent lives are being lost, and it's true what you said, Aurore: it keeps happening. Crafted with care and significance.

A potent reminder of history. Loss of innocent life is devastating--and sadly it marches on-- as you say, Aurore. A thoughtful, meaningful write.

Sad how the Nakba has been erased from history, whilst many other atrocities are still spoken about today... Your poem confronts the sobering truth of how ignorance and closed-mindedness can pave the way for hatred and violence to flourish within society. Through its stark imagery and incisive language, the poet sheds light on the dangerous consequences of collective blindness, where fear and intolerance breed unchecked, which can apply to many things today..

Dear Aurore, What a stark picture of the consequences of societal blindness and the tragic cycle of hate and violence. You have created such powerful language as you capture the relentless march of atrocities fueled by ignorance and prejudice. The juxtaposition of innocence and persecution highlights the cruel reality faced by those unjustly targeted. Your words are a powerful piece of the importance of speaking out against injustice, even in the face of ferocious opposition. Wonderful poem! - Blessings, Daniel
