Nailed

There was a roofer named Bob Ringles
Who liked to go to dances for singles.
There he met his soul mate
Who OK'd a wedding date.
'Til she learned Bob had the shingles.

G'day Paul... I caught shingles once mate and let me tell you, I would have changed a wedding date for being euthanized... and the bloody doctor laughed! Another good one Paul - Lindsay

Indeed, shingles inflicts a hellish brand of torment. I'm sorry you had to experience that. My brother-in-law had it in his eye! It's a miracle it didn't drive him crackers. Thanks for commenting, Lindsay.

Thanks, David. And I wish I had thought of some poetry you have created, which is exquisite.
