Mystifying Things

A few things that have always mystified me Why must something as exquisite as a diamond Or a towering, majestic oak take so long to be, What’s it like living every day on a tropical island? How do honeybees duplicate their perfect comb A few things that have always mystified me, More still, how do they find their way back home? In nature few things are fascinating like a honeybee. Was the Grand Canyon once home to another sea? Why do folks believe the most insane theories? A few things that have always mystified me, To mention a few of my intellectually based queries. Since childhood, I have shown an inquisitive bent That no two people have ever shared an exact identity Like why the wind quit blowing, and where it went A few things that have always mystified me.

Oh sweet mystery of life, at last, I've found thee. If so, why do I still have heaps of questions that I need to ask and answers to them? Enjoyed, thank you, Milt

Thanks, Shirley. I'm glad my poem gave you some things to mystify over!

Another FAV for me, Milt. You sound a lot like me in this one, my friend. The myteries of the unknown and the inquisitive mind or quite the pair. The fact that people can be so nieve and believe some of the seemingly craziest things, befuddles me. Have a great week! Bill

You, too, Bill. Thanks so much for the FAV. There is so much about life and living that is still mystifying after all these years!
