Mysteries of the Heart

The heart is a place
where no man could ever fathom
its mysteries

Though small in size
its depth and ways are vast
and limitless

It can contain myriads of emotions
as if the whole universe
is contained in it

Sometimes it rage like a storm
and billows like waves at sea
when it is stirred by pain

It can soar like eagle in flight
and dance like flowers kissed by the breeze
when joy and rapture are felt

The heart flutters
like a butterfly's wings
when it is touch by love

At times it is calm
like still water in a pond
when it is at peace

These are feelings that only the heart feels
it is so strong and yet so fragile
that it easily breaks and bleeds

The heart is beguiling and deceiving
and can keep secrets like a safe
it overflows with feelings and tenderness

It cannot forget whatever it has loved
the mystery of life is found in the heart
because the heart is life itself
