Myself, Me and I

Once upon a time, without complete thought
My life was simple, nothing was too fraught
But as I grew, new challenges emerged
My path wasn’t clear, fate was lost

I searched inside, I wanted to know
Who I was, what made me glow
I tried on hats, testing out roles
But nothing fit, none met my goals

So I turned inward, to my core
To find the spark that I adore
It took some time, but I uncovered
My passion, my purpose, my own wonder

Now I walk my path with pride
No longer searching, I no longer hide
Myself from the world, for it to see
This is me, unapologetically

I am confident, I am strong
I know where I belong
Not boxed in by society’s mold
I am my own story to be told

My spirit is wild, my heart is true
I am a rainbow, a kaleidoscope hue
I love fiercely, I forgive with grace
I am unique, no one can take my place

My dreams are big, my goals are high
I am willing to try and try
Failing forward, learning new things
With an open heart, my soul sings

I am grateful for this life I lead
For the ones I love, for the things I need
For the beauty that surrounds me each day
For the highs and lows, come what may

I will continue to grow and evolve
To explore the world and problem solve
To be kind and empathetic with each chance
A humble servant, making love my stance

So this is me, myself, and I
A work in progress, reaching for the sky
A logical poem with rhyme so sweet
This is me, simply and complete.
