My World of Darkness

Please don’t turn on the light
I want to hide in the darkness
With just the shadows and my own thoughts
The brightness shows me too much
More than I ever wanted to see
Darkness hides the terrors of the real world
I can control what I see what I think
It is a reality of my own creation
My demons and angels
Mine and mine alone
Hiding in endless crevasses
Blacker than the darkest ebony
I prefer this land
The land of darkness and shadows
I can be alone
With nothing to disturb my thoughts
I know that you are there
I can sense you in my mind
Although I do love you for all eternity
At this single moment in time
Your smile, your beautiful face disturbs me
All I want is the darkness of my world
So, please do not turn on the light
Leave me in the dark
Allow me to survive in my world
And celebrate my time in paradise

Wow! That dear robert, was breathtaking! I can feel the hurt within your words. Smile! For this land of hurt you have created can turn to land of joy with the right thoughts and the right people. Love ~Catherine:)
