My World
You may not change the world today
but you will change mine...
You will lift me with your smiles,
You warm my heart because you understand me,
You raise my spirits when you make me laugh
You make me feel whole again just by holding my hand,
You restore my faith in myself as well as in others,
You lend me your strength when I need it most,
You make it easier for me to be brave enough to deal
with whatever comes next in life,
Because no matter what life might have in store,
I know you will be in front of me to protect me,
beside me to support me and behind me to catch me if I fall
You are my heart, my soul, my champion, my friend...
The most important piece of me
and truly more special than you could ever know.
