My Wish For Her

I wish for my daughter The greatest capacity for love. I wish that she finds strength Most can only dream of I hope that she loves With reckless abandon Sharing faith and compassion Always at random Spreading joy where most needed Teaching others how love is seeded I pray that she learns we all are unique No one person left, to sustain critique Not one of us better by what we retain Not in wealth, nor outward beauty These things found in vain. I pray as she grows When she looks in the mirror She sees something precious Each day sees it clearer.
