My Wish

You sit staring at the wide open space.
I take your hand and enter your world
Where the sun always shines.
Sometimes, I wish I could see the good like you.

Outwardly, you are small and frail,
But you have a heart of gold.
You always want to please,
And you dearly love to laugh.

The innocence that is you,
Makes me want to be better;
Better at loving, forgiving and believing.
Oh, that I could be more like you.

My guess is that they probably want to be more like you. This is a thoughtful piece.
