My Winter

Winter, a sad season, cold, foggy,
but it makes you think.

It makes you think of the past,
the present, the furture.

The best moment to think.....
is during the winter and when
you see that light out of the window.

It's the sun.....
a ray of hope.

That brings more questions
then a mind could answer.

Winter is a gift, giving time for contemplation, time for thoughts to form poetry. Your last two lines make this poem great poetry for thought! Well done!

Margherita, i tuoi poemi sono molto belli, ma ho visto che non ne scrivi più da tempo. Perché? Anche in questo c'è un piccolo errore "furture" invece di "future". Puoi correggerlo rieditando la poesia. Ciao, Mario

"Thinking is the best way to travel." That's a moody blues lyric. The way you write makes me think you might like them. They're my favorite band. I can see you sitting there in the window looking far off into the future. Await more to come from you. Have a wonderful season. :)

Glad to oblige. I liked the underlying message of cheer and hope. Keep up the work. There is a catalougue of forms here on the soup that you can use to try different ones. I think it is a fun challenge.

Very true. For some reason winter does make you stop and reflect. Maybe it's the people missing from the table at Christmas? Or perhaps its the prospect of a brand new year that some find daunting? Either way you've captured the spirit of the season very well. Keep writing!
