Wow, ist that true Jack? But love won't have any age isn't it? My wife was seven years younger and we were married for eighteen years. But now she got a new man (a former American GI who is living for 40 years in Germany). But we still are in contact at times either by phone or email. Love to you and Sue, Gert

Gert just wrote to me, Jack. He is so pleased with the card you sent to him. You're such a thoughtful man. Just as I do, Gert senses something very special about you. And to think the "relationship" began with you thinking Gert was a lady. LOL Love, Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, just read your comment! Yes, you're probably right about Jack but quite soon I sent him my photo so it was clear to him that I was not a woman!!! Hahaha! Even here in germany I sometimes receive letters directed to Mrs. Gert Knop, its really funny and here in germany they must know that this is a name for a man and not a short form of Gertrude. Yes I really enjoy your and Jack's friendship!

As the cliche goes, age is but a number. Fine Haiku Jack, you have me smiling with this one :)

Wow that is an age difference. My kids had to explain what a cougar was to me. ha ha. But why the role reversal- If a man can do it why should a woman not. love phyl

wow, jack. She really snagged a goodie!! That's what I call robbing the cradle, and if I were to marry again, I too would be searching for a younger man (not sure about one younger by 12 years haha, but I wouldn't mind an ashton Kutcher!)

Jack, I'm pretty sure Brian didn't invent footles. He did introduce them to the Soup though. They may have originated as a foreign verse form. Brian is so educated in various forms. It was he who showed us the sonnet doesn't have to match the rhyme scheme used as an example on the Soup. His blogs are always quite informative! Love, Carolyn

the age does not matter where love lies at the door. I am 6 years older than my wife, which i guess is not much difference. this was a great piece you wrote. thank you for commenting on Bring on Summer.

Jack, I knew there was an age difference but didn't realize it was 17 years. John was 19 years older than I, but the age difference didn't matter. I know how much you love Sue and you seem to be very happy. Wishing you success in Dr. Ram's contest. Love, Carolyn
