My Walk With God

I walked with you one morning, As you told me, how it would be, You said begin planning, for the time will come, When you will walk with me. I pleaded for another day, For my kids, weren't hugged good-bye. What even will they think and say? Without their mother by their side. Who will teach them as they grow? Who will guide their way? I cannot help them with their load, If I am so far away! Who will dry their eyes? When monsters wake them in the dark? Who will push them in the swing? Or even take them to the park? Without me, they can't yet go on, Their fears will over come them. I must back out; I just can't go, For, you put me here to love them. The Lord then replied, I didn't mean today, I did put you here to guide them, I'm not going to take you away. I just want you to see, what needs to be, Before the clock does run out, Teach them to make it on their own, For that day they are without!
