My Unicorn

The Unicorn Have you seen the Unicorn lately? Maybe you have not looked in the right places? Unicorns, as well as Fairies, live in a magical place. Anyone that believes in them will find them there. They are wonderful to look at, and they draw their energy to show themselves from the hearts of those who believe in them. They return this energy manifold when we spot them by the way they fill us with good feelings. We all need a little magic in our lives. On a spring evening in the Month of May, go near the woods and find a quiet place to sit and observe. Find a little pond, maybe, because sooner or later they will come out to drink. Sit there, relax, and dream a little. The apple blossoms from the nearby orchard perfume the air around you; mixed in with the purple lilacs that are blooming at the edge of the property from the farm nearby. A pair of young rabbits does not see you and plays gracefully, enjoying spring. The evening breeze moves the bows of the pine trees, gently swaying. The full moon is slowly rising into the sky. Dewdrops are descending onto the sweet smelling young grass, sparkling like tiny jewels. And there....that little glowing pink light by the pond, is a Fairy; trailing her hand slowly in the water. The moonlight reflects off her iridescent wings. Now that you are looking towards the pond, you can spot the beautiful white Unicorn coming out of the thicket behind it. He is magnificent, tall and stately. His horn is silver. He walks to the water, he lifts his head and looks at you. Your heart is beating so loud-- can he hear it? He bends his head to the water and drinks until he is satisfied. You can see his reflection in the pond, gently rippling. Soft moonbeams touch the scene, dipping it in silver, making it look like a fantasy. You stand in the May moonlight, lost to the magic of the earth and all it's beauty. It is there, for all to find, if only you believe...

Beautifully descriptive. The imagery is so vivid I can picture his reflection on the water and hear the beating heart as if it were my own. Well done. A fanciful story. Smiles from Lolita
