My Two Cents Regarding This Election Year

Here we go again bein' charmed by every political buffoon, Promisin' each of us ever'thing, the sun, the stars, the moon! Looks like Trump and Clinton will be nominated fer the election. Lord, have mercy on this nation! Ain't very much of a selection! One who has a proclivity fer flauntin' the truth now and again! The other who thinks foreign policy is negotiatin' fer hotels in Kazakstan! One who doesn't know what he's doin' and the other who thinks she does. I fer one am gettin' very weary of hearin' all their inane buzz! Oh, that it would be possible to resurrect Reagan as was Lazarus, To rekindle patriotism and decency in this nation for each of us! Well, Robert, if Reagen were to come back and be strong and healthy he would be dealing with an entirely different set of people with different attitudes a whole new culture so to speak..It would not be the same and I don't think the public would want what he stood for back then..Sad to say that though isn't it..America is on a downhill slide..Thanks for your lovely visit..Sara

Jack thanks for dropping by. Yep, there is pretty slim pickin's for this upcoming election. We are becoming the laughing stock of the world for the way we play the political game here in the colonies. i'm always interested in hearing your two cents, bob, and you've nailed it in this poem. i'm enjoying the republican debates, though - they've been more entertaining than most things on television!
