Love notes” Mailbox ...

I fill my little treasure box With things that people say Each one a precious tender note To bring joy to my day And when life turns from friend to foe When days are long and drear I pull each little keepsake out To fill my heart with cheer The words you say, the words you write Leave echoes in my heart The sweet resounding dulcet chimes From me will not depart For I am one in love with words, and what each one conveys The ones that are so genuine touch me in many ways So thank you for you gift of words wrapped up in bows of love The blessings that these words impart are what my heart dreams of Eileen Manassian Ghali My Treasure Box July 4, 2025

This proves you don't need a complicated vocabulary to have good work. This is a scene in a movie.

Eileen, dear poet, This poem placed a picture in my mind of a poetess sitting in candlelight, reading words she has read before, bringing her comfort and warmth...Frederic

Thank you, dear. Life has been incredibly difficult lately, that I don't have the time or the energy to visit often. However, people like you make me want to come back more often. Thank you for reading and commenting. Will be by to visit soon. :)

Things are more stressful than ever both on the homefront and in the region. I tried to pull myself out of the dark and depressing to write this little piece. It's so true, you know. I do keep notes my students write, poems dedicated to me, little cards, anything that I can so that in my old age, I will be reminded that I did make a little difference in someone's life. Thanks for reading.
