well, I could sometimes use ... Hers!
Now that a score is cast
well, she's just way out past ... Soupers!
Hear the rush and whirring
as she passes though our time?
with another Soup comment stirring
then races off to post a rhyme
and then ... Look!
I see her everywhere ...
when I go to see a New Poet
she's already been there!
Don't you know it,
I'll never catch up
she's just too far gone
so I lift my cup
to toast my talented friend ...
(... and if I could have found a word
to rhyme with gone
this might have had a different end)
