My Sweetest Story
When I was swimming in sin and sorrow
And wallowing in weariness and woe
He saved me from my sinful shadow
And gave me freedom and faith to follow
When I was sailing on the ship of shame
And was glued to that glamorous game
Which made me blind and got the blame
He bought my pardon…he forgone His fame
All of my life… this is my sweetest story
The Lamb of God was crucified on Calvary
And when I went to say I’m sincerely sorry
He led me to the throne of grace and glory
All of my life… this is my sweetest song
The lord saved me from the tempted throng
Now I’ve got a soul that is steady and strong;
To Jesus my king… this is my sweetest song.
Jesus is the entire world to me
And true to him I will always be
He was caged and killed to set me free
That at last his glow and glory I may see.
