Good morning Sunshine I woke before you To anticipate your glorious entrance You have not disappointed Your radiance is even more brilliant than yesterday And once again, you take my breath away And so much so that I almost forgot How magnificent you drifted off to sleep last night As you were closing your eyes to rest Only a glimmer of your daylight glory remained Yet it was enough to move me Enough to make everything around me spectacular Both sky and sea, how you calm me And once again you take my breath away Morning to morning I wait for you And cherish the bright path you make for me A divine trail that leads to my heart’s door Let me in, you say, in whispered tone Oh, how your voice beckons my soul Your pen scrolls speechless beauty I am lost in your words, completely taken Enraptured and overcome by your poetry And once again you take my breath away Almond eyed, island girl You alone, will always be My Sunshine -Lyric Man Note: Just wanted to try my hand at Free Verse and hopefully with a bit of a romantic twist I hope you enjoy.
