My Spiritual Journey

as i seek the greater truths
along the journey of life
i learn how peace
and gratitude go hand in hand

my quest follows a trail of hills and valleys
surprises around each corner
with its share of gains and losses

i can say i knew true love
and for a while shared the path
of life, of wisdom and spirituality 
he passed away in my arms
giving his last breath
i handed him over to a universe
greater than the sum of its parts

and now alone again i must find a way
to pick up the pieces and go on without him
to follow the road where it may lead
gaining whatever precious trinkets
of spirituality that i may find

And people will still love you and your words because you have spoken to their hearts. Your love words have power.
