My Source, Strength and Dream
"Above all else guard your heart for
everything you do flows from it."
Proverb 4:23
I have been given this life for a reason
and was born with a poetic gift
and I know without doubt it was God
my journey emotional
with great joy and great sorrow
arising and subsiding like waves
my thoughts and emotions an ocean
but deep inside God whispers
I am your source of strength and all awareness
since a girl I have known God stands beside me
so, I can fly like a bird set free
I have always been able to dream
from moment to each moment
think- thinking poetic thoughts
words drifting and floating and crashing
and I know their sweet heavenly source
my faith always unchanging
God guiding my pen across the white pages
my life has been full of many ups and downs
too many deaths that left me shattered
but every time God picked me up
held me- till I had the strength
and whispered you can do this
when I am afraid he is aware
he holds my hand and becomes my source
my source, and my strength, and dream
deep in my heart and soul there is no darkness
... only serene peace and tranquility
