A favorite Demetrios. One of your finest works. I am surprised no POTD this is incredible Poetry with such great meaning and conclusion eloquently expressed in this metaphoric style of brilliance. Wow!!!!!!

I understood what you meant in your poem - I meant : I enjoy your "fruits" (wisdom and love)... and it would be sad to lose them... "falling down on the earth of eternity" ...no one lives forever here on earth ... but, it hurts to lose your dear friends - Have a wonderful day :) - thoughts // Anne-Lise :)

My dearest, Anne-Lise, when I say " My soul a ripe fruit resembles" is a Metaphor, therefore, it simply means, that taking into consideration my age, am ready to pass into eternity as ripe fruit is ready to fall onto the ground. The soul when ends her journey, her mission, is ripen and falls onto the ground of eternity where is judged according to what has done on earth. Thank you for your lovely visit! REMEMBER: The soul is not a fruit but a part of divinity that comes from divinity and returns to divinity! Blessings!

No one can say when our time comes ! Though we wish to cling on to our life here, the thought that an eternal life awaits us at the other end makes us less apprehensive of our final good bye. May God strengthen and bless each one of us. Stay blessed, sweet friend !
