My Soul

Last night I went inside my soul To see if I knew exactly who I was I try to live the good life by helping everyone But I somehow knew that it was not enough My soul had a tiny door but somehow I sneaked in There was a ray of light ahead and I continued on Along a clover pathway with blossoms on its side The light ahead grew brighter as I neared an ivy gate But the gate was locked with tiny strands of gold As I tried to open it I heard a soothing voice That said, "It’s not your time yet so please do not return You still have years to live so use the time to clean your soul"

One lifetime probably not enough, for me anyway. Great, thought provoking read. Thank you Carlos.
