My Sisters'

My sister I am here to walk through
the door of the unknown with you.
We have fought long and hard
to maintain our families and our lives
Even though we are not of the same parents
I am someone sister, mother and grandmother
I am a women like you
I just want you to know I see and understand your
                      struggles on a daily basis.
My sister I chose to put my pride a side to make sure
we as a whole survive and become the strong women
                   we are together.
