My Sister Jay A Pallen

Baby’s wail, crisp march dawn, sister Jay born,
a glowing treasure dawned that wondrous day,
since then our firm rapport has weathered storms

In depth, laughter, tears, how we faced wild storms,
sensing one and others needs truly born,
joint life journey, each true heaven scent day.

wry slant on sibling antics, close of day,
Jay bosom spar in sun, rain, wicked storms,
on recall, peak chapters in concert born

My homage born for each rapt day, Jay, you oust storms

Awwn this is a beautiful dedicated to your sister! Siblings do have a very special bond and lucky are those who are able to witness it ~ although I am a single child but I do know how it is like to have a healthy and pure bond with one's brother or sister.. I wish I had one too! How gorgeously you've described the magical march dawn.. and those moments with her.. we must cherish every second that we spend with the love of the family ~ pleasure reading this! sending poetic starsz 🌙🍁💫⭐

Hello Howard, writing a villanelle, or a play on one, can easily feel like a mechanical exercise, but using those repeating lines to circle back to a lifetime of sibling bonds works so well here. It feels like a genuine, deep-rooted rapport built through both laughter and head-butting over the years. A great, simple tribute to someone who’s always been an anchor. I have three sisters and certainly can relate. Blessings, Daniel
