My Silly Indulgence

I ponder on what I would like to indulge Had I but enough time and money And the only thing good I judge Is a room filled with books and sunny A space of my own to escape at will A sanctuary wherein no other can chill A chamber of glass, with the view of clear sky A place so large with shelves up high Rows of books lined up by a roomer Of genres consisting of romance and humour A collection vast to read and ponder of Jude, Judith or Maeve in order With soft music flowing to soothe my mind And shades I can lower as I wind If only I had enough time and money How I would relish this dream euphony © Nadiya (06 Feb '15) *Won 1st place in the contest 'Indulgence' by Shadow Hamilton on 11 Feb 2015

Nothing silly about it, indulge away, sounds great, though I would swap soft music for jazz/blues to optimize the emotion of the moment. Thx for the share, great write.

All my life I was dreaming a place like this and I got one not of such beauty but still filled with books I adore: Philosophy, Literature, poetry, History, Religion and so many more! The most important thing though is to want, to love the books you have got for they take you to any place you wish! Your poetry a beautiful and delightful mind shows! Excellent verse, dear Nadiya!

Oh Sweetie!!! When I'm in the university library...such a feeling comes over me....The shelf that carries literary classics just...thrills me. I have many good books at home in my library. My daughter and I are going through Tale of Two Cities by Dickens. Your write is SUPERB, Nadiya. Your rhyming, the feelings it evokes...the beauty of the words. You touched me, sweetie. Hugs

I've read Jane Eyre TWICE...Pride and Prejudice...TWICE...I've seen the BBC versions of those movies, and the more reject Hollywood productions. Sense and Sensibility took a turn in one of my poems entitled, Scent and Sensuality! ;) Yup...I'm a silly one! Thanks for your kindness to me today, Nad. Good medicine you are! Hugs
