My Shoes
Every girl dreams!
Was it my fault!
As I sat there watching TV,
I really wanted them,
My heart ached,
As I begged and pleaded,
Not giving parents rest,
My mind was fixed,
Programming mode,
Or hypnotized! Whatever,
I wanted them,
My brain would not let up,
Life couldn't continue,
Every day for weeks,
As soon as my eyes woke,
Until I went to bed,
I was focused,
My aim was straight,
Had I won the battle,
Were my parents weakened enough,
Yes! Yes! Yes,
My Cinderella shoes with high heels,
I put them on in excitement,
Walked around a couple of times,
The burning desire quickly subsided,
Don’t remember wearing them again.
Did I really want them?
I wear flat comfortable shoes now.
