My Secret Superpowers

If I had the power to freeze,
I wouldn't let my friends know about it.
"We have a freak in school!" that's
what many kids would say in school,
making me sadly sit alone on a bench
or in the locker room...

I wouldn't let my parents know too;
they would take me to a doctor
who would pretend to be a nice man,
only to treat me like a lab rat!

Well, still I would find it cool to have
such powers I had,
for I would not only prolong the ice-creams'
chill, but also cool nuclear reactors,
put out fires, and help stop global warming.

I would be a super hero in the night!

I hate when my ice cream melts too fast on a hot day too :) Global warming could use a few super heroes. I like how you drew attention to it here. I am reminded to do my part.
