My Safe Haven

Dark blue sky with gentle
Tones of orange and pink
Greet my sight upon
My awakening.

Lying on the soft ground,
Like the softest carpet,
My senses detect
A certain scent.

It's soothing,
Bringing with it
A dash of freshness,
The finest perfume.

I sit up to determine
Where I am.
A field full of purple flowers
Surrounds me.

Like a protective barrier,
The feeling of safety rose
From within me.
Nothing bad can happen to me.

Nothing bad can happen
To me here,
In this place of purple flowers
Surrounding me.
