My Role
When I am on stage...
I perform...
Whatever role I play...
I perform...
If I am a lover...
I perform...
If I a am worker...
I perform...
If I am a friend...
I perform...
That is my role in life...
I perform...
I am there...
To play a role...
And nothing more...
I do not care...
Of my desires...
For they are fleeting...
I only care about the end...
The result...
Closure to my efforts...
And my sacrifice...
Was it worth it.
