My Reminiscences

I remember! I remember! A visit of mine to the place Where I was shaped; And my skills were nurtured. My unwritten registry flew back To the exquisite moments. I remember! I remember! The day I walked along with my dad And felt happy as if it was a lovely tour. When he disclosed the bitter words That I had to be there for a few years, Tears welled out and formed clouds. But I couldn’t say nay to him. I remember! I remember! I finished my schooling; And it was the D-day, I had to leave the golden threshold Missing those boulders, trees, chirping birds and all... Tears welled out...but differently. It had given me enough; And I could make out myself. I remember! I remember!
