*************

I picked posies as I walked on by, removing my red hair ribbon to tie. My life is sometimes tranquility ... By morning the flowers had withered, I felt a sadness deep within my soul. My life is sometimes regret ... Farewell flowers short was your time, I should have left you in the field. My life is sometimes grief ... I carried you all withered to the garden, and lay you tied in my ribbon to repose. My life is sometimes serenity ...

Serenity, regret and grief are part of our life. They come and go in turn. We cannot make our life gleeful all the time. If we can keep our balance all through the changing phases of life, our life on earth will be successful. Enjoyed reading your poem dear Constance.

Valsa, I am so happy you came to view this poem, it did not place in the contest written for, and had no comments yet I think it is meaningful and deep. Thank you for your wonderful comment, what I have learnt is that we should leave nature where it is, though our selfish side wants the pretty flower just leave it to grow in the sun and wither in its time, Constance
