My Quiet Place
I close my eyes and drift away,
to a quiet place within my soul;
a place where peace keeps fear at bay,
a place where I can be made whole,
where not I, but God, is in control.
Silence rich with tranquil vibes,
soothes my mind and I have found,
that though the world offers its bribes,
to ride its chaotic merry-go-round,
I can refuse, I am not bound.
My quiet place is in Jesus' arms,
held safely, gently, I am wholly calm.
There is no fear of things that harm,
for my name is written on His palm.
My Savior's love is a healing balm.
