My Puzzle Has Two Pieces

Each piece is many sided
the colors weave and blend
I've tried to put them every way
they don't fit end to end

The right won't fit the left side
the left won't fit the right
I worked on it for many hours
and late into the night

I tried to put them upside down
then backwards, in-between
Tried to turn them inside out
do you know what I mean?

Perplexing as it seemed to be
I gave it one last try
I failed again, my head hung low
a tear drop in my eye

Then all at once it dawned on me
they will always be apart
The good and bad can never blend
for I know this in my heart

It will not help a soft voice said
they'll tolerate at best
I worked on this ten thousand years
That was the final test.....

Deep vision, enlightening. Really good write to read if/when you understand.
