My Promise To You

My Promise To You

as long as I stand
I promise you I will always be your man
as long as I stand
I will be standing by your side
you are my wife my bride my life

as long as I stand
I will protect you
from all harm
just hold onto my arm

we will walk togeather side by side
into the sunset
the sunset of our years

I may loose my hair or have it all turn gray
or gain a pound or two
but I will look at you with all my love
I will always see you as beautiful as you can be
as the day you gave yourself to me

never will I look at or desire another
that’s the way I was raised
like my father looked at my mother

as long as I stand
I promise you I will always be your man
you can depend on me
