My Poetry Epiphany

When I first started writing poetry, rarely with new thoughts; almost always rhyme. But often I felt so amazed to see those poets who were writing all the time! I asked one gal whose muse kept bringing luck to her so often, “Just what do you do to keep your flow and keep from getting stuck? I want to write as often as do you, but feeling blocked these days has been my plight!" Her answer – my epiphany! She said, “Take challenges and just sit down and WRITE! Don’t worry. Thoughts will pop into your head.” I did just that! Years later I well know to simply simmer thoughts, then let them flow! Another one I have missed so let me read it." So simmer thoughts and let them flow. " I enjoyed reading your contest entry. Reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Way to go. Thanks for your visit. Our son is back in ICU. I posted a blog with what I know. Remember us in your prayers. Sara

It's a sort of liberating of the spirit, to write and exude those nugget that are recognize as profound. For me I just Write after all it's mostly me I would like to be in order. You are truly prolific and studious and your writing have taught me many time. so keep writing through those temperamental blokes.

Nicely spoken, Andrea. We've all had writer's block that stifles our imagination, causing us to try and force labor for something that isn't ready to be born yet. Reading works for me. Books, other poems (like yours) and memories are the well-spring of my poems. Write away, Terry

The friend is write I guess, just let it flow. Good luck in the contest. I've not been in the mood for writing. Every time I try it's like a stopper has been placed and I see blank. Many blessings my friend.

I have seen you at work and yes you thrive on the contest, the harder the better. You have a magical way to mold your poems with constrictions and rules that yield such beauty. Love you sis.
