My Poems

My poems are like my memories Some long, some brief, some rotten. A few will last my lifetime And some are best forgotten. My memories of long ago My poems of today Are intertwined and so designed They each have much to say. Originating deep within, Mind doesn’t know they’re there Until some trigger brings them forth My very soul to share.

You have described exactly what makes your poetry so appealing to me, Joyce. You integrate the old memories and give them a modern spin. Surely, none of your work could be called "rotten," my dear. A sure winner in Thvia's contest! Love, Carolyn
