My Pillow My Secret Keeper

My pillow oh my dear pillow
Why do you know so much about me?
I only wish you were human
So I can have a friend to share my deepest secrets with

Every night before I travel to dreamland
My heartaches I pour over your head
You comfort me with love and charm
All my tears you absorb with open arms

My mind runs wild
Of the things I go through
But there you are
Ensuring that every tear counts

Thank you for being my friend
When no one else was there
I will treasure you
As long as there is so much I can no longer bear

Night time has always been my truest company -- it is when I do all my writing...it is the silence, which allows deeper thoughts to safely surface.... One can exam and make sense in the privacy of one's own feelings free from the voices and noise of others. Love this little, honest poem of yours. Well done. Keep writing.
