My Piano

Through its black keys I find solace
Suddenly life’s music is unpleasant to my ears
Every chord is out of tune
Every beating I press is not so melodic

Hearing wonderful pieces from my piano
Gives my heart a wonderful relief
The piece that has brought me fame
Has stole my dignity for art’s sake

My piano, are you still the constant masterpiece I own?
The ultimate laborer through which my pieces have grown
Are you still the pages that will give me a bright tomorrow
Or just anther thorns of pain to bring me sorrow?
