My Perfect World
Do you, like me, worry about the way the world is turning to
Do you wish things were different
Do you dream of life being perfect
Do you hope of someday, bringing changes to make it as such
Why, I've seen the perfection the world requires all way through
I shall tell you about my vision, pray listen with intent
My perfect world does have not the slightest defect
My perfect world does lay, if such be everyone's will, within everyone's reach
My perfect world would need to have a God, breathing and living
His rule would be the one I would abide to
His rewards and His punishments would be that to which I shall submit
His word and His grace would abound everywhere, in every corner
My perfect world would need to be made of elevated beings
Beings running not towards the sole satisfaction of their senses
But beings fully aware that life does be for a while
That somewhere else they shall wake up to, after they have walked their mile
My perfect world would be one where toiling would be fun
Yes, none would deem it necessary to live under stress
Rather, each one's effort would be recognized and acknowledged
And of course, each one would be valued for what he or she is
My perfect world would be one where living souls would know not any harm
Why, are we not all issued out of the Lord's charm
Do we not all breathe the same air, drink the same water
I would make sure that beasts and Man walk side by side, in complete peace
My perfect world would be one free from crime
Crime is just the effects of the Devil on our minds
Our God would help us out, by subtly bidding us all to do good to each other
Crime, fear, assaults and other evils would simply be inexistent
My perfect world would be one free from all sorts of sins
Yes, lust, anger, greed and jealousy would be things unheard of
The beings in my world would be made of pure thoughts
Caring only to take from Earth only as much as they deserve
My perfect world does be one so hard to build
Yet, always do I pray to the skies to gift us all with such
But silence only have prevailed from everywhere
I guess if things do not be such, surely it must be for some cause
Still, I shall pray, and pray
May I be granted a magic wand
See you not this wish as a childish whim
A magic wand, with powers, would make of this world, a better one
Of course, if all of humanity did wish to
The current world could be changed to become perfect
Better, for the children of tomorrow
Yes, here would be known as the Land of No Sorrow
