My Path

Desire strong as the concrete beneath my feet Missteps hinder my stride along a winding course Signs clearly marked "Proceed With Caution" Muscles scream to try something new Never knowing what direction to turn Exhausted I throw caution to the wind Gasping in the air with trepidation Running as fast and as far as I can I seize the opportunity to test my endurance Is it a marathon or merely a sprint this course I am on I won't let it be a dead end, I won't submit I will have my answer, I will reach my destination

The answer will come and one step at a time. When we take care of our own path, there is a destination at the end, and as we stride as well. Many wishes, Kai

To seize life and not let it go , to not wander off its path to gather garbage along the way, rather to smell the fragrant flowers on your chosen course and see the distance both traveled and in sight of the horizon...my first thought after reading your poem..

by the way, I bet you sing great! I was in choir groups all through school, but they just did not ignite my passion. It would be awesome to have a truly distinct singing voice!!

That's great that you sang in the choir. I bet you can sing as well. I always wanted a sound proof basement so I could sing as loud as I wanted whenever I wanted lol. Thanks for the lovely comment :)

this is a really great analogy to life. I more than halfway down my path and I am hoping there is not a sudden cliff drop up ahead!!
