My Parents

My parents, on a sudden whim, (apparently?) decided to bring me into the world as a helpless victim of their boredom and indifference without first seeking my permission and about whom I knew absolutely nothing. Now I ask you, was that selfish omission an auspicious start to life?

This indulgence on my part isn't as funny as you may think. It reminds me of a friend of some years ago complained that his wife was pregnant and he wasn't at all happy about the news. To which I said: Did you ever think of birth control? By his facial expression it was apparent he had never! Thanks for stopping by. /Maurice
