My Pain

My pain…! I was hurt I often felt like dirt I had been used I had also been abused I was a victim of child abuse and rape I had no way to escape I had been defamed I was so ashamed I was in a dark place I wished my pain could be erased I thought of this day and night I could no longer fight I felt I could not change I felt so deranged I could not resist I balled up a fist I cut my wrist I will not lie I did not cry I really, really, wanted to die. Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This is heartbreaking, but impactful. It takes a lot of courage to share this with the world, but I'm glad you did. There is boldness in your frailty. Thank you for sharing this with us, Lay.

My dear Lay, I wish I could help ease your pain...I am so very sorry that you've travelled down this road to despair. Pray and remember your children...who will love them better than u??? I imagine it's very difficult but be strong and those times when you can't email me, at least we can talk, ok? Thank you for sharing this..from your heart. Love you, Always, Audrey

Thank you Joyce for your kind words. This was a dark part of my past that still haunts me. I needed to write about it to set my nightmare's free. I know now what my life is worth. Lay

I was afraid I would find something like this after I read your comment to my poem If this is true, I am so sorry. It's not supposed to be that way. Love, Joyce
