My Own Way

Losing myself to You;
Best thing to ensue
Never could be
A worthy king over myself
Perfect planner of my life
Finest master of my fate
Deception had it I could be
On top of the world
Won many battles on ‘my own way’ arena
Only the winnings left me dilapidated
And time again rose to brush soil off my back
Just to fall back on top of the world
And on my back again

Looking back now ‘top was bottom’
For life in deception led to an abyss dark
Where I couldn’t retrieve my soul on my own hand
Nor light my life with my own words
And the only way ‘bottom top,’
Was to fight and lose in ‘my own way’ arena
Via falling on my knees into your Grace-
The ultimate King, Planner, Master of my life
Losing myself to You;
Best thing to ensue
