My Observations

The more I observe
The less I see
My vision is blurred
By bureaucracy

The more I listen
And try to say
The things I've heard
In a practical way

The more I'm told
If I speak
My sight and hearing
Must be weak

It seems as though
I'm the only one
Who marches to the beat
Of a different drum

I like this because I can relate to it, the majority of my poetry is about dancing to your own drummer. I live my life this way. It can be a lonely road, but a fulfilling one. Great Poem...Pangie

Thank you, Pangie, for your interesting comment. I do not understand the world we live in today, we never seem to learn from past mistakes. I feel like someone looking in from the sidelines. So pleased you could relate to the poem. Take care ShirleyX
