My Muse By Afolabi Muideen

Wee minute my ambition for poetry to vanish
A word touched my soul, touched my heart and fills
My life with great bliss
An uplifted word gives
My soul the courage, the courage of not being disdain
The courage to pursue my ambition
When depression sucked my heart
Like a baby sucked his mother's breast
When my heart fills with sadness
And sorrow blocked my way, a word
Touched my heart and says
Within my heart " hey get off my cloud"
A word of gold
An incomparable word fills my life with joy
When I think, think and my heart
Blocked think from thinking, a word touched my soul and repair my
Broken heart
When my heart is raven and groping for light in dark
A word of a man light the dark
For me, a word in can never forget
My MUSE, a man I can never forget

dear A.M the moment you set pen to paper you are a poet. believe in yourself. you write honestly from the heart. English is not your 1st language which makes it harder for you, you will grow and go from strength to strength. keep writing!!! hugs

Hi Afolabi, if what you write gives you pleasure, it is already enough. First and foremost we write for ourselves; having others read and comment is an added bonus. Keep doing what you enjoy most! // paul

:) That is a lovely dedication to a very wonderful man. Lyric Man has often encouraged me as well. Don't let anyone tell you what you are or aren't capable of. If some of the greats in history had done that, we wouldn't have known about their wonderful contributions to mankind. Blessings.
