My Muse

Words tumble from my head to land on the paper
So many emotions to release not sure where to start
Will my muse lead down a dark path
A road of intrigue or romance
A winding way of shadows
Or through a sun baked desert
I never know till my hands reach for the paper
Close my eyes and let the inspiration flow
Sometimes it can be the simplest things
The laughter of a child
A soft kittens purr
Other times it mind blowing things
True love starting
Family growing
Even the saddest time
Death of a loved one
Betrayal of a close one
No matter where or when it comes
My muse must be honored
So I will continue to put pen to paper
When my muse graces me with her whispers
Of inspiration and truths
