My Mother, My Strength
You are no longer here, but live on in me.
You who stood up for everyone, so fearless
were you!
Like George Bernard Shaw, who said:
" You see things the way they are,
and say, why?
But I dream things that never were!
And I ask why not?
It was you, Mother who created the fearless
soul in me!
Becoming a poet who asks questions of
life, poetry and reality, with fearless audacity!
