My Mother In Er
My Mother in ER
You were more beautiful in death than in life.
I don't understand what painter God sent,
to turn you into a sleeping goddess.
I only know His name was clearly upon you.
There was no gratuitous embalming or a
touch of human make upon you.
Yet.....Mom, you looked like a young Juliet most truly!
With a divine golden essence to your hair,
And skin so relaxed and so rosy.
Going to meet Dad, your Romeo.
I just knew he was waiting for you!
I could have stood there for hours, gazing
at your glorious inner peace.
Right there in ER,where we prayed over you with Bible,
wet from our tears,
While you were en route to greater celestial
spheres!
I love you, Mom...
