My Mermaid

A friend of mine, asked me to sculpt a 40'' high mermaid,
for her home. When she sent me a description of what
She should look like, I first wrote this.

To the lady of the Sea

I come at night to hear her sing

There is nothing I can hide

She seems to know most everything

Can she see into my soul

And feel the feelings dwelling there

When she takes me by my hand

And I touch her sparkling hair

With lips so soft and wet

And eyes of sea foam green

Is she love from high above

Or a temping evil fiend

She leads me from a rocky shoal

As we slip beneath the waves

It'st true, that I will never know

I gave life, to be her slave.

I like this too. I find it hard not to like anything you write, especially because you seem to most often mention my favorite color green.
